Ralph Garman

Ralph Garman was born on November 17, 1964, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Abraham Lincoln High School and later La Salle University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication arts. His career began to take shape with appearances on television, including a stint as a contestant on the game show Scrabble in 1993, and as a regular reporter for the Playboy TV series “Sexcetera.” The early part of his career also saw him contribute voice work to various projects.

Garman gained significant recognition through his role as an entertainment reporter and impressionist on the “Kevin and Bean” morning show for Los Angeles radio station KROQ-FM, a position he held for 18 years. During this time, his distinctive voice and impersonations led to him being cast in the animated series “Family Guy,” where he has voiced various characters since 2001. He further expanded his on-screen presence as the host of all three seasons of Spike TV’s “The Joe Schmo Show,” and appeared in films such as “Two for the Money” (2005) alongside Al Pacino and Matthew McConaughey, and as Mark Wahlberg’s father in “Ted” (2012) and a Stormtrooper in “Ted 2” (2015).

In 2017, Garman departed from KROQ-FM and subsequently launched “The Ralph Report” in 2018, a daily podcast where he continues to offer commentary on news and entertainment. He also co-hosts “Hollywood Babble-On” with Kevin Smith, a podcast where he leverages his array of impressions. Garman has also ventured into writing comics, co-authoring “Batman ’66 Meets the Green Hornet” with Kevin Smith in 2014, and he has continued to take on acting roles, including Detective Charles Dobson in “Wrong Reasons” (2022), which marked his first lead film role.
