Mishaal Ashemimry is a pioneering Saudi-American Aerospace Engineer, commercial pilot, and entrepreneur known for her work in rocket development and her advocacy for STEM education. After earning a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering and two Bachelor of Science degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mathematics from the Florida Institute of Technology, Mishaal Ashemimry went on to become the first female aerospace engineer in the GCC. During her graduate studies from 2006 to 2007, she served as a Graduate Research Assistant for NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, where she analyzed and re-designed a grooved-ring reactor concept for nuclear thermal propulsion, laying the groundwork for her contributions to space technology. She further honed her expertise as a Systems Engineer II in Raytheon Missile Systems’ Aerodynamics Department from June 2008 to April 2010, contributing to 22 different rocket/missile programs through wind tunnel testing, data analysis, and the development of aerodynamic models for missile performance.
She was also a finalist on ‘The Astronauts’ television production in 2019. Beyond her advisory and leadership roles, Ashemimry is a highly influential speaker and passionate advocate for STEM education, leveraging various platforms, including social media, to inspire and educate youth globally. Her diverse expertise spans experimental and analytical aerodynamics, rocket design, nuclear thermal propulsion, and strategic space program development, making her a sought-after voice in the global aerospace community.
