Miss Peppermint, a prominent figure in nightlife, ascended to national recognition as the runner-up on RuPaul’s Drag Race and has since become a Broadway star and vocal advocate for trans rights. After ascending to national recognition as the runner-up on the ninth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2017, Miss Peppermint solidified her status as a groundbreaking artist and advocate. Her fierce lip-syncs on the show earned her the moniker ‘Lip Sync Assassin.’ Notably, Peppermint publicly came out as a trans woman in 2012, becoming the series’ first openly trans contestant. Prior to this, she was a New York City nightlife fixture, performing at prominent venues while also studying musical theatre at AMDA and working as a makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics.
In 2021, she was also announced as a cast member for OUTtv’s reality competition series, Call Me Mother, further diversifying her presence across media platforms. Most recently, Peppermint released her debut single ‘STILETTO’ with TransSisterRadio in 2023. Further expanding her reach into mainstream television, she was announced in 2023 as a cast member for the second season of Peacock’s highly anticipated competition series, The Traitors. Continually combining her dynamic entertainment career with powerful messages of advocacy, Miss Peppermint remains a prominent figure, consistently breaking barriers and amplifying trans voices within the industry.
