The wonderfully flamboyant Miss Peppermint is a multi-talented actress, singer, songwriter, TV personality, drag queen, and activist, who is best known for her appearance on the ninth season of the hit reality TV series, RuPaul’s Drag Race. She also became Broadway’s first out trans woman to originate a lead role when she was cast in The Go-Go’s-inspired musical, Head Over Heels. She is a co-founder of Black Queer Town Hall along with Bob The Drag Queen.
Miss Peppermint started performing as a child in youth theatre, and later moved to New York to study musical theatre at AMDA. While attending college, she landed work at the Tunnel nightclub’s Kurfew parties, quickly establishing herself as a fixture of New York City nightlife. She started recording music in 2005, releasing her debut single, Servin’ It Up, the following year. She has since gone on to release numerous singles and EPs, as well as two studio albums: 2009’s Hardcore Glamour, and 2017’s Black Pepper. And her latest single, Here For It, was released in 2021. In 2017 she was one of fourteen contestants to feature in the ninth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and then in 2018 she made her stage debut on Broadway. She has also made appearances on Pose, and Saturday Night Live. And in 2021, she will be one of the cast members of OUTtv’s reality show, Call Me Mother.
