Mitchell Whitfield

Mitchell Whitfield was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 8, 1964. He began his acting career in the 1980s, with his first credit appearing in 1983 in “The First Turn-On!” However, his career saw a significant turning point in 1991 and 1992 with roles in “Dogfight” and the hit comedy “My Cousin Vinny.” In “My Cousin Vinny” (1992), he played Stan Rothenstein, a role opposite Ralph Macchio, which brought him broader recognition.

Throughout the 1990s, Whitfield maintained a steady presence in both film and television. He appeared in several episodes of the popular sitcom “Friends” (1994-2000) as Dr. Barry Farber, Rachel Green’s orthodontist ex-fiancé. He also played Dr. Bruce Hampton in the television series “Minor Adjustments” (1995-1996). His work expanded to include guest roles in series such as “Murder, She Wrote,” “Diagnosis Murder,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

In the 2000s and beyond, Whitfield became a prominent voice actor, lending his voice to numerous animated series and video games. Notable voice roles include Donatello in the 2007 film “TMNT” and its video game adaptation, Prince Phobos in the animated series “W.I.T.C.H.” (2004-2006), and Fixit in “Transformers: Robots in Disguise” (2014-2017). He also voiced characters in “Vampirina” (2017-2021) and “Goldie and Bear” (2015–2018). Mitchell Whitfield currently resides in Los Angeles, California, with his wife Tracy and their two children.
