Mitsuki Ono

Mitsuki Ono was born in Saitama, Japan, on March 5, 2004. Her interest in snowboarding developed at an early age, leading her to frequent indoor ski resorts near her hometown of Yoshikawa. It was in these facilities that she honed her technical skills, notably perfecting large spins and a clean style that would later define her competitive presence. Ono’s career began to develop rapidly within the junior circuits.

Ono made her international debut at the 2018 FIS Snowboarding Junior World Championships in Cardrona, where she secured a gold medal in the halfpipe event. She repeated this achievement the following year, winning another gold at the 2019 FIS Snowboarding Junior World Championships in Leysin. Her progression continued with a gold medal win at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics in Lausanne, where she achieved a score of 95.33 in the girl’s halfpipe event. This period established her as a prominent figure in youth snowboarding.

Her senior career includes representing Japan at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, competing in the women’s halfpipe event, where she placed 9th. In 2023, Ono earned a bronze medal at the FIS Snowboard World Championships by scoring 83.00 in the halfpipe. She also secured another bronze medal at the 2025 Engadin World Championships in the halfpipe category. In 2024, she claimed the women’s title at the Laax Open and collected World Cup halfpipe crowns following triumphs in Calgary and Mammoth Mountain, further solidifying her position in professional snowboarding.
