Nasim Pedrad

Nasim Pedrad is an Iranian-American actress and comedian recognized for her work on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and for creating, producing, and starring in the sitcom ‘Chad’. After joining the cast of NBC’s iconic ‘Saturday Night Live’ in 2009 as a featured player, Nasim Pedrad quickly established herself as a versatile comedic talent. She advanced to a repertory player role in the 2011–2012 season, contributing to 109 episodes through a wide array of memorable characters until her departure in 2014. Prior to her breakthrough on SNL, Pedrad honed her comedic talent with The Groundlings Sunday Company and garnered critical attention for her one-woman show, ‘Me, Myself & Iran,’ which she performed at various Los Angeles venues.

The series, which premiered on TBS in 2021 before moving to The Roku Channel, saw Pedrad lead all 20 episodes across its two seasons, which concluded in 2024.
