Neil Martin Andrew Walker, born on September 10, 1985, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, established a notable career in Major League Baseball (MLB) primarily as a second baseman. Drafted by his hometown Pittsburgh Pirates in the first round of the 2004 MLB June Amateur Draft from Pine-Richland High School, he initially played as a catcher before transitioning to third base and eventually settling as a second baseman.
