Nicholas Christopher is a distinguished actor and singer known for his extensive work across Broadway, national tours, and television, consistently delivering acclaimed performances in prominent roles. After gaining recognition as Benny in the first U.S. touring cast of Lin-Manuel Mirandas In The Heights, Nicholas Christopher made his Off-Broadway debut as Tom Collins in the revival of Jonathan Larsons Rent. Christopher’s Broadway debut followed in 2013 as part of the ensemble of Motown: The Musical at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, where he later earned a promotion to the prominent role of Smokey Robinson for the shows national touring cast in 2014.
In March 2024, Christopher took a leave from Sweeney Todd to star as Jelly Roll Morton in New York City Center’s Encores! production of Jelly’s Last Jam. He subsequently rejoined Hamilton as George Washington from August to October 2024, before taking on the role of Seymour Krelborn in the Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors from 2024-2025. In October 2025, Christopher is slated to headline the first Broadway revival of Chess as Anatoly Sergievsky at the Imperial Theatre, performing alongside notable talents Aaron Tveit and Lea Michele.
