Nicholas Guest was born on May 5, 1951, in New York City, New York, USA. His early life was influenced by his father, Peter Haden-Guest, a British United Nations diplomat who later became the 4th Baron Haden-Guest, and his mother, Jean Pauline Hindes, a former vice president of casting at CBS. Guest is the brother of actor Christopher Guest and writer Elissa Haden Guest, and half-brother to journalist Anthony Haden-Guest. He entered the acting profession in 1978, building a career that spans several decades across live-action and voice-over roles.

Throughout his career, Guest has consistently taken on diverse roles, demonstrating his versatility as an actor.
