Nicholas Hilmy Kyrgios was born on April 27, 1995, in Canberra, Australia. He began his junior career in 2008 and quickly rose through the ranks, winning the singles event at the 2013 Australian Open and multiple junior doubles titles at the French Open and Wimbledon in 2012 and 2013. Kyrgios turned professional in 2013, making his Grand Slam main draw debut at the French Open that same year. His career progression saw a significant turning point in 2014 when, as a wildcard at Wimbledon, he defeated then-world No. 1 Rafael Nadal to reach the quarterfinals, entering the ATP top 100.
Throughout his professional career, Kyrgios has achieved notable milestones, including winning his first ATP title at the 2016 Open 13 in Marseille and securing a career-high singles ranking of world No. 13 in October 2016.
