Nicole Giacobbo graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nutrition and Food Science and an Integrated Dietetic Internship from the University of Alberta in 2016, earning Dean’s List recognition and a cumulative GPA of 3.9. Her comprehensive dietetic internship included placements at Extendicare Michener Hill (July 2014), Alberta Health Services (Community Placements, May-July 2015), Revive Wellness Inc. (May-July 2015), Primary Care Network (August-November 2015), Covenant Health (Grey Nuns Community Hospital, August-November 2015), and Alberta Health Services (Food Service Placement, December 2015-March 2016). Additionally, she contributed as a Community Dietetic Volunteer for Yellowhead Tribal Council from July 2013 to August 2014 and as a Young Chefs Facilitator for E4C Nutrition & Community Services between January 2013 and March 2014.
Prior to her career in nutrition, Giacobbo cultivated a robust analytical background, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2008. She then applied her engineering expertise as a Mechanical Engineer in Training at Dow Chemical from July 2008 to August 2011, providing her with a unique perspective on systematic problem-solving and operational efficiency, which she now applies to her comprehensive approach in client care.
