Nikki Glaser

Nikki Glaser was born on June 1, 1984, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Julie E. (née Burke) and Edward J. Glaser. She grew up primarily in Kirkwood, Missouri, and graduated from Kirkwood High School. She briefly attended the University of Colorado Boulder before earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from the University of Kansas. Glaser began her stand-up comedy career at the age of 18, developing her unique voice that draws from observational comedy, blue comedy, cringe comedy, insult comedy, shock humor, and satire. Her early influences included comedians like Sarah Silverman.

Glaser’s career progressed with numerous appearances on prominent television shows and the release of her own specials. She performed stand-up on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “Conan,” and competed in two seasons of “Last Comic Standing.” Her first feature stand-up special, “Perfect,” premiered on Comedy Central in 2016, followed by “Bangin'” on Netflix in 2019. Beyond stand-up, Glaser co-hosted the MTV series “Nikki & Sara Live” from 2013 to 2013 and later hosted Comedy Central’s “Not Safe with Nikki Glaser” in 2016. She has also hosted dating reality shows like “Blind Date” (2019) on Bravo and “FBoy Island” (2021–2023) on HBO Max and The CW, along with its spinoff “Lovers and Liars.”

In addition to her hosting duties, Glaser has acted in films such as Amy Schumer’s “Trainwreck” (2015) and “I Feel Pretty” (2018), and appeared in television series including “Inside Amy Schumer” and “A.P. Bio.” Her competitive spirit was showcased on “Dancing with the Stars” (2018) and “The Masked Singer” (2022), where she reached the semifinals. Glaser has also been a featured roaster on multiple Comedy Central Roasts, targeting figures like Rob Lowe (2016), Bruce Willis (2018), Alec Baldwin (2019), and Tom Brady (2024). In 2025, she became the first solo female host of the Golden Globe Awards, showcasing her continued prominence in the entertainment industry.
