Matthew Riddle

Matthew Riddle has transitioned from a professional mixed martial artist to a decorated professional wrestler, achieving championship success in both WWE and multiple independent promotions. After gaining initial recognition through SpikeTV’s The Ultimate Fighter 7 in 2008, Matthew Riddle made his professional MMA debut at The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale in June 2008, securing a unanimous decision victory over Dante Rivera. His impactful tenure in the UFC included a notable four-fight winning streak and earning a $65,000 Submission of the Night bonus in 2012. Riddle’s UFC career concluded in 2013, after which he signed with Legacy Fighting Championships and then Bellator MMA the same year.

He secured another victory at Titan FC 27 in 2014, winning via guillotine choke, before retiring from MMA. In 2014, Riddle transitioned to professional wrestling, commencing his training at the Monster Factory. He made his professional wrestling debut in February 2015, quickly capturing the Monster Factory Heavyweight Championship that same year. He then signed with WWNLive in 2015, earning widespread recognition as ‘Rookie of the Year’ and ‘Most Improved’ wrestler by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter in 2016.

The same year, he won the Combat 1 World Championship and debuted for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), securing the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship. Riddle also debuted for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) and won Battle Riot VI in 2024, further culminating in winning the MLW World Heavyweight Championship in 2025, demonstrating his continued impact and championship success across major international promotions.
