The remarkable and talented Park Hae-Soo is an award-winning Korean actor of the stage and screen, best known for his performance as Cho Sang-woo, or No.218, in the hit Netflix survival series, Squid Game.
Born and raised in Suwon, South Korea, Park Hae-Soo made his acting debut in musical theatre in 2007 in the acclaimed show, Mister Lobby. His other notable stage appearances are in the productions of Angel Called Desire, Annapurna, Adolescence, The Goddess is Watching, The Seagull, Full for Love, and 39 Stairs. He made his TV debut in the 2012 series, God of War, and has gone on to star in numerous Korean productions, including Six Flying Dragons, and Memories of the Alhambra. In 2017 his impressive turn in the drama series Prison Playbook earned him a Best New Actor Award at The Seoul Awards. His first production for Netflix was in the 2019 anthology series, Persona, before he took on a role in their survival series Squid Game. He made his big-screen debut in the 2014 period adventure film, The Pirates, and has since made a number of other movies including 2016’s The Master, and the 2020 Netflix film, Time to Hunt.
