Patrick Bet-David was born on October 18, 1978, in Tehran, Iran, to a Christian family of Assyrian and Armenian descent. His early life was marked by his family fleeing Iran as refugees during the Iran-Iraq War. After a period in a refugee camp in Erlangen, West Germany, they immigrated to the United States, settling in Glendale, California. Bet-David served in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne. His professional career in financial services began on September 10, 2001, when he was hired as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in Glendale. He later worked at Transamerica for nearly eight years before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey.
In 2009, Patrick Bet-David founded PHP Agency Inc., a company focused on providing life insurance and financial services to a diverse middle-class clientele. Starting with 66 agents in a single office in Northridge, California, the company expanded significantly, reaching over 14,000 agents across nearly 49 states by Q1 2021. This growth led to PHP Agency being acquired by Integrity in 2022, with Bet-David becoming a Managing Partner in Integrity. Alongside his business ventures, Bet-David developed a substantial presence as a media personality through his YouTube channel, Valuetainment, launched on November 9, 2012. The channel gained considerable traction after a viral video in 2015, evolving into a media company that hosts conventions and features interviews.
Bet-David further expanded his media influence by launching the PBD Podcast, which covers current events, business, politics, and pop culture, featuring interviews with a range of public figures. He has authored several books, including “Your Next Five Moves: Master the Art of Business Strategy” (2020) and “Choose Your Enemies Wisely: Business Planning for the Audacious Few” (2023). Through these platforms, he has established himself as a notable voice in entrepreneurship and conservative political commentary, interviewing influential guests such as Donald Trump, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and Benjamin Netanyahu.
