Paul Sinha may be a chaser on the popular ITV game show The Chase, but you won’t have to go on one to find this comedian and broadcaster making his mark. Sinha is known for his stand-up comedy, radio guest appearances and gameshow contesting. He started off preforming stand-up with his material focusing on sexuality, ethnicity and heavy use of puns. He broke into the comedy mainstream with his Saint or Sinha? show, which earned him a 2006 Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination. For over 15 years he has performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. In 2013, Sinha appeared in Comedy Central’s The Alternative Comedy Experience. His signature comedic style has transitioned into his radio and game show work.
In 2014, Sinha wrote and performed his first Radio 4 series, Paul Sinha’s History Revision. The second series in 2016 won the Rose d’Or Award for Radio Comedy, an accomplishment solidifying Sinha’s comedic talent. He also presented his own radio show discussing the realm of competitive quizzing and other programmes focusing on topics such as sporting allegiance, the Olympics games and his Londoner experience. All of this gaming familiarity gave him the foundation to be a professional quizzer on The Chase and to appear on game shows such as The Weakest Link, Mastermind and Brain of Britain. He is ranked seventh in the National Quiz Ranking, and in 2019 he became the British Quizzing Champion. Sinha’s plethora of knowledge and comedic experience makes him a unique personality who can make audiences laugh and wonder in amazement as he answers some of life’s trickiest quiz questions.
