Paul Sinha

Paul Sinha is a comedian, professional quizzer, and television personality known for his work across stand-up, radio, and television. After achieving third place in the prestigious Hackney Empire New Act of the Year competition in 1999, Paul Sinha swiftly advanced his stand-up comedy career. His 2006 Edinburgh Festival Fringe show, ‘Saint or Sinha?’, garnered critical acclaim and an if.comeddie award nomination, marking a significant turning point in his dedication to comedy. Sinha has since presented eight solo shows at the renowned Edinburgh Fringe, including the popular ‘Shout Out To My Ex’ in 2017 and ‘The Two Ages Of Man’ in 2018, both of which achieved sellout runs and embarked on successful national tours.

Sinha seamlessly transitioned his intellectual acumen into broadcast quizzing, making notable appearances on competitive shows such as ‘The Weakest Link,’ ‘University Challenge: The Professionals,’ and ‘Mastermind.’ His career took a significant turn in 2011 when he joined the much-loved ITV game show ‘The Chase’ as one of its formidable six Chasers. Adopting the memorable nicknames ‘The Sinnerman,’ ‘The Smiling Assassin,’ and ‘Sarcasm in a Suit,’ he quickly became a recognizable and popular figure in British television, regularly featuring in celebrity and family editions of the show.
