Pedro González Alonso was born on June 21, 1971, in Vigo, Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain. He pursued his education at the Royal School of Dramatic Arts (RESAD) in Madrid, graduating in 1992, and also studied at the Teatro de la Danza. Beyond his acting career, Alonso is recognized for his contributions as a writer and artist, publishing his work under the name Pedro Alonso O’Choro. His early career saw him establish a presence in Galician television before achieving national and international acclaim.
Alonso gained significant recognition for his role as Andrés “Berlin” de Fonollosa in the Spanish heist series “Money Heist” (La Casa de Papel), which premiered on Antena 3 in 2017 and later became a global phenomenon on Netflix. This role garnered him widespread international attention, leading to him being named “International Star of the Year” by GQ Turkey in 2018. He reprised his iconic role in the spin-off series “Berlin,” which premiered in 2023, further solidifying his status. His filmography also includes notable performances in “Gran Hotel” as Diego Murquía and “The Ministry of Time” as Cerezo.
