Born on August 1, 1980, in Rouen, France, Pénélope Leprevost embarked on her equestrian journey at the age of six, developing a profound passion for show jumping. Her dedication to the sport led her to achieve significant milestones early in her career. She gained international recognition for her talents in show jumping, leading to participation in major events. Her early experiences laid the groundwork for her progression to elite competition.
Throughout her career, Leprevost has consistently competed at the highest levels of equestrian sport. She participated in the 2012 Summer Olympics, placing 12th with the French team on her horse Mylord Carthago*HN. A standout moment arrived at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where she secured a team gold medal, notably riding Flora de Mariposa. Her medal achievements also include two silver medals at the FEI World Equestrian Games: in 2010 in Kentucky and in 2014 in Normandy, both in team jumping. She also earned a silver medal at the 2011 European Championships in Madrid as part of the team jumping event and an individual silver at the 2015 World Cup Final in Las Vegas on Vagabond de la Pomme.
