Priya Tew is an award-winning dietitian and nutritionist specializing in eating disorder recovery and media work, transitioning from NHS hospitals to private practice and television. After earning her Master’s in Dietetics from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff in 2004, Priya Tew quickly distinguished herself in the field, establishing her private practice, Dietitian UK, in Southampton in 2005. Building on her foundational experience in NHS hospitals, she specialized in eating disorder recovery, taking on a significant role as a Specialist Dietitian in an eating disorders team at Hampshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in 2007. Through Dietitian UK, she provides individual consultations and partners with other clinics, extending her clinical expertise to complex areas such as IBS, where she received specialized training in the low FODMAP diet from MONASH University and authored ‘The complete low FODMAP Diet Plan.’ Her practice also encompasses pregnancy nutrition, chronic fatigue, PCOS, and nutritional support through menopause.
She has also developed recipes for BBC Food and Good Housekeeping. Complementing her nutritional expertise, Tew is an advanced Pilates instructor, specializing in Antenatal, Pregnancy, and Post Natal Pilates.
