Professor Green

Stephen Paul Manderson, known as Professor Green, is a multi-platinum recording artist, rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, television personality, and mental health activist from London. After winning the JumpOff MySpace £50,000 battle rap tournament in 2008, multi-platinum recording artist Professor Green went on to sign with Virgin Records in 2010. That same year, he released his debut album, ‘Alive Till I’m Dead,’ which quickly achieved Platinum certification in the UK with over 300,000 sales. The album featured the popular single ‘I Need You Tonight,’ which peaked at number 3 in the UK, and the top 5 hit ‘Just Be Good to Green,’ a collaboration with Lily Allen.

His advocacy continued with documentaries such as ‘Professor Green: Is It Time to Legalise Weed?’ (2017) and ‘Professor Green: Working Class White Men’ (2018). Demonstrating his ongoing commitment to social causes, Professor Green serves as a patron for the anti-suicide charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) and actively supports initiatives addressing child food poverty and energy debt. His musical releases in this period included the single ‘One Eye on the Door’ in 2016 and the EP ‘Matters of the Heart’ in 2019. Most recently, in 2021, he signed a worldwide artist services deal with British independent record label Cooking Vinyl, signaling a new chapter in his prolific career as a recording artist, rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and television personality.
