Reina Triendl

Reina Triendl was born on January 23, 1992, in Vienna, Austria, to a Japanese mother and an Austrian father. She grew up with a younger sister, Luna, and lived in various countries, including France and the United States, before settling in Tokyo during her high school years. Triendl attended International Christian University High School and later enrolled at Keio University, where she eventually graduated in September 2015, balancing her studies with her burgeoning career. Her early career began in her second year of high school when she was scouted by Platinum Production and started working as a model. She became an exclusive model for notable magazines such as JJ and Vivi, and currently holds an exclusive contract with With magazine.

Triendl expanded her career into acting in 2012, making her television drama debut in “Kuro no Onna Kyōshi.” The following year, in 2013, she joined the reality television series “Terrace House: Boys × Girls Next Door” as a studio commentator, a role she continued across multiple installments of the franchise. A significant milestone in her acting career came in 2015 when she played the lead role of Mitsuko in the horror film “Tag.” Her performance in this film earned her the Best Actress Award at the 19th Fantasia International Film Festival in Canada. She has consistently appeared in numerous television dramas and films, demonstrating her versatility across genres.

Her career progression continued with diverse roles. In 2021, Triendl starred in “Watashitachi Kekkon Shimashita 2,” the Japanese remake of “We Got Married,” alongside actor Kōdai Asaka. The release of her second photobook, “Aimai,” in January 2022, achieved commercial success, reaching fifth place on Oricon’s weekly photobook chart. Recently, on November 5, 2024, Triendl transitioned her representation, moving from Platinum Production to Amuse. She married actor Naohiro Yamamoto on January 19, 2024, further marking a new chapter in her personal life.
