The inspirational entrepreneur Rembrandt Flores is widely known as a public relations guru and brand whisperer, and often acts as an ambassador between Hollywood and Manila in the Philippines. He is the CEO and founder of 8 Commas, Flowing Ventures, and EFG PR, and an angel investor. He is a first generation Filipino-American, and was honoured by the Los Angeles City Council for his excellence in the entertainment industry during Filipino-American History Month in 2016.
Flores is a proponent for My Hope For Children, a non-profit organisation providing assistance to Filipino children. Since 2013 he has helped with Generosity.org, a charity that provides clean water to those without access to it, and he also supports Unlikely Heroes, a charity providing safe homes and restoration for child victims of sex slavery.
Born to Filipino parents, Flores grew up in Almaden Valley and Los Gatos, California. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in Communications, he was recruited by Abrams Artist Agency. He then moved to E! Entertainment Television to work in production. He met a publicist on one of his assignments, and after becoming firm friends the pair started their own PR agency, Fusion Publicity. After three successful years they parted ways and Flores rebranded the company EFG (Entertainment Fusion Group), expanding into corporate brands and events. He also co-founded Ad.ly, an influential and successful celebrity in-stream ad network, and helped the founding team of Tinder. He has gone on to garner media attention for such brands as Diageo, LG Mobile, Casper, Moon, Away, Macy’s, ASICS, VEVO, Oakley, Sonos, Cameo, Neon Carnival, and Electronic Arts.
Flores regularly connects with his legions of followers and fans through Instagram, and Twitter, posting pictures and videos about his life around investing and advising. He is also available for that personalised shout-out via the Cameo platform.
