Retin Obasohan is a professional basketball player from Belgium. Obasohan was a member of the Alabama Crimson Tide from 2011 to 2016. He redshirted in 2011 and steadily increased his playing time during his tenure. Obasohan averaged 17.6 points per game as a redshirt senior. He guided his team to NCAA Tournament contention and multiple upset victories, including several triumphs over AP-ranked opponents and a victory against LSU’s NBA first overall choice Ben Simmons that year. Obasohan was selected to the All-SEC First Team and was also awarded the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year following the end of the 2016 season.
Obasohan signed a free agent deal with the Sacramento Kings in June 2016 and then participated in the 2016 NBA Summer League. He joined with Sidigas Avellino of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A on August 5. Obasohan joined with Rockets Gotha, a newcomer to the German Basketball Bundesliga, on August 4, 2017. He scored a season-high 25 points against Eisbären Bremerhaven on April 1, 2018. Obasohan joined the Northern Arizona Suns of the NBA G League in October 2018 as a local tryout player. He competed in the Basketball Bundesliga for Brose Bamberg in the 2019-20 season, finishing the season with an average of 8.4 points and 2.7 assists per game. Obasohan joined with ERA Nymburk in the Czech NBL on October 24, 2020. He moved on to Hapoel Jerusalem of the Israeli Premier League on July 1, 2021.
