Robert Livingston

Robert Livingston led a significant defensive turnaround for the Colorado Buffaloes in his first season as Defensive Coordinator/Safeties coach in 2024. Under his direction, the Buffaloes’ defense reduced points allowed by 11.7 per game and yards allowed by 101.4 per game. The unit improved dramatically, climbing from 121st to 43rd in scoring defense, and from 124th to 40th in passing yards allowed nationally. Furthermore, his scheme led the Big 12 in sacks, propelling the team from 64th nationally to 15th in that category.

He then advanced to a quality control analyst and special teams assistant role in 2015, deepening his understanding of NFL strategy and operations. His professional coaching journey launched at the collegiate level, starting as the safeties coach at Furman in 2010, followed by a role as a defensive quality control analyst at Vanderbilt in 2011. This extensive background, combining high-level collegiate playing experience, NFL scouting and coaching expertise, and a proven track record as both an NFL positional coach and a collegiate defensive coordinator, underscores Livingston’s comprehensive understanding of defensive strategy and player development at the elite level.
