Robert Reffkin

Robert Reffkin is an entrepreneur, CEO, and philanthropist known for founding Compass, Inc., a real estate technology company that has transformed the industry. His career highlights include leadership roles at major financial and consulting firms, and his philanthropic efforts focus on empowering young people through education. After serving as a White House Fellow for Secretary of the Treasury John W. Snow from 2005 to 2006 and as Vice President and Chief of Staff to President and COO Gary Cohn at Goldman Sachs, Robert Reffkin went on to co-found Compass, Inc.

Under Reffkin’s leadership, Compass, Inc. grew into a prominent real estate brokerage and successfully went public in April 2021. His strategic partnerships, including collaborations with industry leaders such as Zillow and Breitenbach Advisory, have significantly influenced the real estate landscape and contributed to building the company’s notable brand. In 2021, Reffkin authored the book ‘No One Succeeds Alone: Learn Everything You Can from Everyone You Can,’ with all proceeds dedicated to non-profits supporting young individuals.

As co-founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Compass, Inc., Robert Reffkin continues to lead the company’s mission to transform the industry. In 2021, he delivered the commencement address for San Francisco University High School.
