Andrew Lichtenberger was born on September 20, 1987, in East Northport, New York. He began his poker career primarily online at the age of 18, initially focusing on cash games under the alias “luckychewy”. After developing his skills in online cash games, he transitioned to multi-table tournaments. Lichtenberger entered the live tournament circuit in 2007, making five World Series of Poker (WSOP) cashes within his first two years. His early live tournament success included being the champion of the 2010 World Series of Poker Circuit event at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Throughout his career, Lichtenberger has accumulated over $21 million in live tournament earnings, demonstrating consistent performance at the highest levels of poker. A significant achievement came in 2014 when he won the World Poker Tour (WPT) Alpha8 Las Vegas, securing $2,104,245. He further cemented his reputation by winning a WSOP bracelet in 2016 in Event #52: $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em, earning $569,158. In 2019, he narrowly missed another bracelet, finishing second in the $50,000 High Roller for $917,232. His career also includes multiple deep runs in prestigious events, such as a third-place finish in the 2023 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas, where he held the chip lead with nine players remaining.

Beyond playing, Lichtenberger has been active as a poker coach and instructor for LearnWPT and founded Octopi Poker, a poker training platform.
