Rustie Lee is a British-Jamaican television personality, chef, actress, and singer who gained prominence in the 1980s and has since worked across diverse entertainment and media platforms. After gaining significant prominence as a pioneering television chef, Rustie Lee made her impactful debut on the morning television station TV-am in 1983. Her distinctive personality, vibrant culinary style, and infectious laugh quickly captivated audiences, establishing her as a recognized figure in British media. Following this breakthrough, Lee rapidly expanded her career into publishing, releasing her popular ‘Rustie Lee’s Caribbean Cookbook’ in 1985.

Continuing her extensive and varied media presence, Lee lent her distinctive voice as the narrator for the beloved children’s BBC TV programme ‘Twirlywoos’ from 2015 to 2017, further cementing her appeal across generations. Her literary contributions expanded with a second acclaimed cookbook, ‘A Taste of the Caribbean,’ published in 2007.
