Ryan Oakes

Ryan Oakes was born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. From an early age, he developed an interest in music, influenced by artists such as Linkin Park, Eminem, and Hollywood Undead. He dedicated himself to learning music, independently cultivating his skills as a rapper, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist. His commitment to music led him to forgo a lacrosse scholarship during his college years to pursue a career in the music industry. Following this decision, he relocated to Los Angeles to further his musical aspirations.

His career began to gain significant traction with the release of his track “Drinking About You,” which accumulated over 47 million streams on Spotify. This early success provided a foundation for his subsequent work. Oakes maintained a consistent release schedule, collaborating with a range of artists including Hollywood Undead, MOD SUN, Chrissy Costanza, and State Champs. Throughout his career, he has produced multiple songs that have achieved substantial streaming numbers, including “NUMB” (2019) with over 36 million Spotify streams, and “2L8” (2022) with 24 million Spotify streams. These achievements contributed to his overall reach of nearly half-a-billion streams.

In 2023, Ryan Oakes embarked on his first headlining “WAKE UP TOUR” across the United States. He has since continued touring, performing across various regions including the US and Europe, sharing stages with artists such as Jake Hill, Chris Webby, and Ekoh. Scheduled performances in the UK and Europe with Zero 9:36 are planned for Winter 2025. Oakes continues to focus on integrating diverse musical styles and personal narratives into his work, aiming to create a unique sound that resists easy categorization.
