Samuel Ajiboyede is an entrepreneur, early-stage investor, and product strategist with over 20 years of global experience in leading technological innovation and business growth. He has a history of building multi-million dollar enterprises from initial concepts. His work has spanned various sectors, including clean energy, EV infrastructure, smart mobility, structured finance, data governance, and ethical AI. Ajiboyede serves on multiple international boards and policy councils, where he provides strategic oversight and governance. He has a strong educational background, including programs at Harvard Business School (2012) in Global Strategy Management and Harvard Kennedy School (2015) in Innovation for Economic Development. He also pursued a Master of Science in Electronic Circuit Design and Manufacture from the University of Dundee (2011-2012). His early career included a significant partnership with General Electric (2011-2017) in Africa, where he developed and managed intelligent integrated power management systems for telecommunications markets.
In 2017, Ajiboyede became the Chief Executive Officer of Fleetcare, a position he held until 2020. During his tenure, Fleetcare focused on vehicle-as-a-service solutions and advanced fleet management technologies, which led to the company being recognized as the Best Vehicle Leasing & Fleet Management Company globally in 2015. Following the acquisition of Fleetpartners by Fleetcare, he transitioned to a Non-Executive Director role at Fleetcare from December 2020. A significant turning point in his career came in 2019 when he co-founded Zido Global, a financial operating system for the supply chain. He took on the role of CEO at Zido in January 2022, leading the company in developing AI-driven solutions for logistics and distribution, and integrating sustainable practices into technology solutions. His leadership expanded Zido’s operations across Nigeria, the UK, the US, and China. In 2023, he moved to the UK on a Global Talent Visa.
Ajiboyede’s influence extends to the UK tech ecosystem, where he joined the board of techUK (July 2025). Within techUK, he also serves as a Board Member on the Smart Energy and Utilities Steering Board (March 2024) and a Council Member on the Skills & Diversity Council (March 2024). He is a Council Member of the Forbes Business Council (June 2020) and a Member of the Strategic Advisory Board for the African Business Chamber (August 2025). Additionally, he is an HBR Advisory Council Member (August 2024) for the Harvard Business Review, contributing to content and leadership perspectives. He acts as a mentor for various organizations, including Techstars (November 2022) and the Founder Institute (June 2020). He is also the author and host of Growth Africa Startups (May 2020), an initiative focused on training and mentorship for African entrepreneurs.
