Ian King

Ian King earned national recognition as Business Journalist of the Year at both the UK Press Awards and the London Press Club Awards during his eight-year tenure as Business Editor for The Sun, a role he commenced in 2000. Following this success, King joined The Times in 2008 as Deputy Business Editor, rising to become Business and City Editor in 2011, where he also received accolades at the UK Press Awards. This extensive print journalism career, built upon foundational experience as a business analyst at Midland Bank and HSBC, established King as a leading voice in financial reporting. He further solidified his expertise with a history degree from the University of Manchester and a postgraduate diploma in newspaper journalism from City, University of London.

His show was later rebranded to Business Live with Ian King in June 2023, and subsequently Business Live, where he consistently interviewed numerous FTSE-100 chief executives, Bank of England governors, Chancellors of the Exchequer, and international Prime Ministers.
