Sasha Mitchell is an American actor and martial artist recognized for his television roles as Cody Lambert on "Step by Step" and James Beaumont on "Dallas," as well as his roles in the "Kickboxer" film franchise. He has transitioned from acting to share his experiences and talents.

Sasha Sergei Mitchell was born on July 27, 1967, in Los Angeles, California. He began his career as a model for fashion photographer Bruce Weber and studied acting at the National Improvisational Theatre in New York City. His early acting roles included a television film debut in “Pleasures” (1986) and an appearance as Ruggieri in “Death Before Dishonor” (1987). Mitchell gained significant recognition for his role as James Beaumont, the illegitimate son of J.R. Ewing, on the CBS prime-time soap opera “Dallas” from 1989 to 1991. During this period, he also appeared in the 1988 film “Spike of Bensonhurst” and a 3 Musketeers commercial in 1989.
Mitchell is also known for his martial arts background, holding a black belt in taekwondo and having been an amateur kickboxing champion. This expertise led him to take over the lead role of David Sloane in the “Kickboxer” film franchise, starring in “Kickboxer 2: The Road Back” (1991), “Kickboxer 3: The Art of War” (1992), and “Kickboxer 4: The Aggressor” (1994). His most prominent role was Cody Lambert on the ABC sitcom “Step by Step,” where he reunited with his “Dallas” co-star Patrick Duffy, who played his uncle. He appeared in 118 episodes of “Step by Step” from 1991 to 1998. Following “Step by Step,” Mitchell continued his acting career with guest appearances on television series such as “JAG” (2002), “NYPD Blue” (2005), and “ER” (2004–2005), and roles in films such as “Gangland” (2001) and “Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star” (2003).
In addition to his acting, Mitchell is a certified welder and speaks fluent Spanish. He is a motorcycle enthusiast, enjoying building and collecting Harley Davidsons. His career showcases a diverse range of work across film and television, building a verifiable and extensive body of work.
