He swiftly made an indelible mark, earning the coveted NBA Rookie of the Year Award in 2007. Throughout his impactful tenure, Roy distinguished himself as a three-time NBA All-Star from 2008 to 2010. His stellar performance also garnered him selections to the All-NBA Second Team in 2009 and the All-NBA Third Team in 2010.
Under his guidance, the program maintained a winning culture, developing elite talent and achieving sustained excellence within the highly competitive high school basketball landscape. Brandon Roy further extended his impressive coaching legacy by securing an additional WIAA 3A State Championship for Garfield High School in 2023.
