Serkan Cayoglu, born on May 31, 1987, in Germany to a Turkish family, pursued his higher education in Economics at Erlangen University in Germany. During his university years, he also began a career in modeling, which served as his entry into the entertainment industry. His journey to becoming an actor led him to Istanbul, where he honed his craft by taking acting lessons at Ümit Çırak’s Modern Acting Techniques Atelier, under the guidance of Ümit Çırak and Dolunay Soysert.
Cayoglu commenced his acting career in 2012 with a guest role in the season finale of “Kuzey Güney,” playing a friend of Merve Boluğur’s character. The following year, in 2013, he appeared in Hande Yener’s music video “Ya Ya Ya.” His breakthrough came with the romantic comedy series “Kiraz Mevsimi” (Cherry Season) from 2014 to 2015, where he played the leading role of Ayaz Dinçer. In 2024, he secured a significant lead role as Sultan Mehmed II in “Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı,” a production that has received critical acclaim and awards, including the “Series of the Year” at the 10th Anatolian Media Awards. He has also starred in films such as “Aaahh Belinda” (2023) and “Oregon” (2023).
