Seth Meriwether

Seth Meriwether was born in Montgomery, Alabama, and raised in Mathews, Alabama, developing an early appreciation for the outdoors. He began his professional acting career at the age of 11 at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival after receiving a scholarship. During his time at the festival, he performed in four shows, notably starring as Rudy Pazinski in “Over the Tavern” and Ralphie in “A Christmas Story.” In addition to his stage work, Meriwether was a charter member of The Baldwin Banjo Band in the 8th grade, demonstrating musical talent across various instruments including the 5-string banjo, plectrum jazz banjo, guitar, ukulele, and drums.

Following his theatrical experiences, Meriwether transitioned to Film & Television. After training with The Chez Group and under the mentorship of Shay Griffin, he secured his first feature film role in 2012 as Wyatt Wilson in “Trouble with the Curve.” This marked a significant turning point in his career, leading to further opportunities in both film and television. His film credits include “Devil’s Knot” (2013) where he played Jason Baldwin, “Terminator Genisys” (2015) as an 18-year-old Skynet, “The DUFF” (2015) as A.J., “Tim Timmerman: Hope of America” (2017) as Brandon Schlierman, “The 15:17 to Paris” (2018) as Francis, “Lady Driver” (2020) as Kenny, and “Blonde” (2022) as 5th Helena Messenger. His television appearances include “The Magicians” (2015) where he played Martin Chatwin, “The Son” (2017) as Martin McCullough, “The Society” (2019) as Greg Dewey for four episodes, and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” (2020) as Freddy Meyers (1984).

Concurrent with his acting career, Meriwether maintained an active interest in outdoor activities such as backpacking, hiking, hunting, and trailing. He also developed a strong passion for landscape photography and began pursuing a pilot’s license, often combining these interests by updating his photography website with his work. Residing in Los Angeles, he continues to work as an actor while developing his skills in photography and aviation.
