World renowned cook, travel author and TV personality Simon Majumdar is dedicating his time to achieving his dream to “Go Everywhere. Eat Everything”. He is the author of three bestselling books: Fed, White and Blue, Eating for Britain and Eat My Globe. A well-recognised television personality, he has appeared regularly on Cooking Channel and Food Network shows including Iron Chef American, Guy’s Grocery Games, The Next Iron Chef, Beat Bobby Flay, Guy’s Grocery Game, Cutthroat Kitchen, The Best Thing I Ever Ate and Extreme Chef. He has also starred on National Geographic’s series EAT: The Story of Food as an expert commentator.
Majumdar has written articles for leading publications including The Times, The Daily Mail and The Guardian and has created and hosted EAT MY GLOBE: Things You Didn’t Know You Didn’t Know About Food, a food history podcast. He was the co-author of the UK’s most read and highly read food blog Dos Hermanos alongside his brother Robin from 2006 to 2009.
Born and raised in Rotherham, England by his Indian father and Welsh mother, Majumdar worked as book published until he was 40. After suffering depression after the death of his mother he decided to change career in 2007 and become a travel author and cook, changing his life path forever.
In addition to his television work and writing Majumdar is also called upon regularly for personal appearances, cookery demonstrations, as a host and as a speaker at conferences inspiring audiences with stories of his life changing travels.
