The multitalented Stanley Enow is a rapper, radio and television host, entrepreneur, and voice actor from Cameroon. He is a co-owner of the Motherland Empire record label. Enow’s most well-known song is “Hein Père,” which he released in 2013 and which earned him the title of “African music Revelation of the Year” from Trace TV. Enow won two awards at the first Cameroon Academy Awards in 2013, Male Artist of the Year and Urban Artist of the Year. At the 2013 Balafon Music Awards, the music video for “Hein Pere” received Best Video of the Year. The following year, at the 2014 African Muzik Magazine Awards, he won Best New Act and was nominated for Best Male Central Africa. The 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards saw Enow become the first Cameroonian to win Best New Act.
While still in high school, Enow began creating rap lyrics and breakdancing. Later, he appeared on Groove and Cocktail Hit Parade, two prominent Cameroonian night shows. He also worked as an animator and director for various private radio stations, where he also performed. Enow has done voice-over advertisements for the Pan African telecommunications business MTN Group and hosted the television music show Mboa.
In March 2014, Enow collaborated with Jamaican musician Nyanda on the song “In The Middle,” produced by Black Lion. He released the music video for “Njama Njama Cow,” directed by Shamack Allharamadji, in October 2014. Enow’s debut studio album, Soldier Like My Papa, was released in July 2015. He makes personalized videos for his fans on the social media platform Cameo.
