Stefano Di Filippo

Stefano Di Filippo was born in Rome, where he began dancing at the age of nine. His parents introduced him to social dance classes. Early in his career, Stefano became a world champion in both Youth and Open Latin Amateur categories. Prior to becoming a professional dancer, he secured multiple Italian championship titles and was a finalist in major world championships alongside his sister, Annalisa Di Filippo.

From 2006 to 2009, while partnered with Anna Melnikova, Stefano achieved several major Amateur World titles, including winning the Amateur World title in Australia in 2008, and both the European Championship, UK Open, and British Open in 2009. His professional career continued to develop, and in 2010/2011, with his professional partner Olga Urumova, Stefano became the IPDSC Professional Latin World Champion and a finalist at the British, UK Open, and International Championships. He also appeared on Italian ‘Dancing with the Stars’ (‘Ballando con le Stelle’), competing in Series 7 in 2011, where he and his partner Vittoria Belvedere placed third.

Between 2012 and 2020, Stefano partnered with Daria Chesnokova, reaching major World Finals, winning the Asian Tour in 2018/2019, and securing victory at the UK Open in 2020. He is also the founder and director of SDF Production International and co-owner of the Legends Ball Dubai and Legends Ball Hong Kong events, continuing to be an influential figure in the dance world.
