T.J. Ramini is a British actor and voice actor who has played notable roles on both sides of the Atlantic. In over 25 years as a professional actor, he has played DC Zain Nadir in The Bill and Tarin Faroush in 24, as well as playing recurring roles in NCIS, Twisted, and Prison Break. In recent years, he has also worked on several major video games, including Diablo III, Dota II, and World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth. His contributions to Bayonetta 2 and Uncharted 3 saw him jointly nominated for ensemble awards at the BVTA Awards. More recently, he has been appearing in episodes of US series such as FBI: International and All Rise.
Although born in Britain, Ramini’s first screen experience came in Australia where he appeared in a film called Dating the Enemy and a series called Fallen Angels in the mid-1990s. After this, he returned to Britain and appeared in the popular crime series, Waking the Dead and shows such as Casualty and The Inspector Lynley Mysteries. His break came in 2005 when he joined the cast of long-running primetime police drama The Bill as DC Zain Nadir, appearing in over 80 episodes.
After leaving The Bill, Ramini went to America where he began appearing in popular shows such as Desperate Housewives, Heroes and Villains, NCIS, and 24. He had a recurring role in the eighth season of the latter. Ramini made his video-game debut in 2011 with Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, which sold over 6 million copies and helped him to add another string to his bow.
