Taylor Greenwood is a songwriter, vocalist and plus-size model based between New York City and Los Angeles. Filtering her intimate pop sound through a jazz-folk lens, her authentic sound, soulful voice and meaningful lyrics have garnered worldwide attention from the likes of the Foo Fighters, with frontman Dave Grohl now a long-time mentor and friend of the talented artist since discovering her talent a decade ago. In 2017 she wowed during a duet with the Foo Fighters at the Lollapalooza festival in Berlin on ‘The Sky Is A Neighborhood’. A gifted songwriter, Greenwood worked for years in Los Angeles writing songs for other artists but left the music industry for a while as she felt it had lost authenticity. After working as a model signed to Wilhelmina model agency, Greenwood is now making music again and is working on a new album with 16 self-penned tracks.
Greenwood always wanted a career in music growing up, and went to music school before releasing 3 albums in her 20s: Porch Songs (2006), The Other You (2007) and All Around Me (2011). Whilst in LA she also became a prolific songwriter creating music for other artists. When she felt that the music industry began to become less authentic, she decided to take a break and try her hand at modeling. When Greenwood first arrived in East Village, New York she tested with Wilhelmina and was promptly dismissed, but after working in LA she returned to New York in her 30s and signed to Wilhelmina once again as a successful plus-size model. She also began to post regularly to Instagram, and her inspiring body positive posts have helped her online following soar.
