United States Tecia Pennington, also known as Tecia Torres, is an active mixed martial artist competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Women's Strawweight division.

Tecia Lyn Torres Moncaio was born on August 16, 1989, in Fall River, Massachusetts. She began her martial arts training at age three, starting with Taekwondo and earning a black belt after twelve years. She also accumulated an amateur Muay Thai record of sixteen victories and four losses. Pennington earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Florida Atlantic University in 2010, followed by a master’s degree in Criminology from the same institution in 2017. Her early career also included an undefeated amateur MMA record of 7-0, securing titles in MMA Solutions, US Freedom Fighter Championship, and American Battle Championships.
Pennington transitioned to professional mixed martial arts in 2012, signing with Invicta Fighting Championships. She made her professional debut in October 2012 at Invicta FC 3, securing a unanimous decision victory. Over the next year, she achieved notable wins against Paige VanZant and Rose Namajunas at Invicta FC 4 and Invicta FC 6, respectively, both by unanimous decision. Her Invicta FC career concluded with a unanimous decision win over Felice Herrig at Invicta FC 7 in December 2013, maintaining a professional record of 4-0 before joining the UFC.
In December 2013, Pennington was announced as one of eleven women to join the newly created UFC strawweight division. She participated in The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) reality series to crown the inaugural strawweight champion. Although she lost in the quarterfinals of TUF 20, she officially debuted in the UFC in December 2014 at The Ultimate Fighter: A Champion Will Be Crowned Finale, winning against Angela Magaña via unanimous decision. Her UFC career features significant victories against opponents such as Michelle Waterson (2017) and Angela Hill (2015, 2021). Notably, she secured her first professional stoppage victory by submission against Juliana Lima in 2017, earning a Performance of the Night bonus. She currently holds a professional record of 15-7-0 and is ranked #13 in the UFC Women’s Strawweight Division as of May 2025. She is married to former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Raquel Pennington.
