About

Born on July 10, 1980, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Thomas Ian Nicholas initiated his acting career on the television series “Who’s the Boss?” portraying a young Tony Danza. His early career development included significant lead roles in feature films such as “Rookie of the Year” (1993) and “A Kid in King Arthur’s Court” (1995). By the age of 18, Nicholas had secured recurring roles in popular TV shows like “Party of Five” and gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Kevin Myers in the “American Pie” film franchise, commencing in 1999. This period marked a critical phase in establishing his presence in both comedic and dramatic roles, demonstrating his versatility from a young age.

Nicholas subsequently expanded his focus to dramatic performances, notably appearing in Roger Avary’s “The Rules of Attraction” (2002) alongside Faye Dunaway and Jessica Biel, and in “Stealing Sinatra” (2003) opposite William H. Macy, where he played Frank Sinatra Jr. His career progressed with roles such as a rookie cop in “Life Is Hot in Cracktown” (2009) and Abbie Hoffman in “The Chicago 8” (2011). A significant acknowledgment of his talent came with the 2011 Indie Spirit Robert Altman Award for his participation in the ensemble cast of Nicole Holofcener’s “Please Give” (2010). Beyond acting, Nicholas has also pursued music, self-releasing several albums and EPs, and co-writing for other artists. His production work includes “Adverse” (2020) and “Living Among Us” (2018), where he also took on acting roles. He also portrayed Walt Disney in “Walt Before Mickey” (2015).

His recent work includes producing and acting in the film “Adverse” (2020), which featured Mickey Rourke, Sean Astin, and Lou Diamond Phillips. He joined the Producers Guild of America during this period. In television, he was a series regular on Steven Spielberg’s “Red Band Society” (2014–2015) and held a main role as Joe in the Tubi mockumentary sitcom “Underdeveloped” (2023), serving as executive producer for the latter. Nicholas maintains an active presence in the entertainment industry, continuing to collaborate on various film and television projects while also engaging with fans through his music.
