Trey Taylor

Trey Taylor was born in Denver, Colorado, and raised in Loveland, Colorado, by a single mother. His musical journey began early, leading him to become the youngest African American man in country music history. His enthusiasm for music and distinctive style, which includes cowboy boots, bright colors, and jewelry, has been noted by publications such as The Denver Post. Taylor’s career in music has involved working with established industry figures and supporting various community initiatives.

His professional music career began significantly on April 8, 2015, when at the age of 16 and still a high school student, he recorded and released the single “Back on My Mind Again.” This release led to a recording contract with Kent Wells Productions and subsequently with Go Time Records in Nashville. Kent Wells, known for his work with Dolly Parton, played a role in Taylor’s early career development. Taylor released his album “OCEAN IN HIS EYES” on August 20, 2016, through Go Time Records, which was mastered and produced in Nashville, Tennessee. This album contained songs co-written with Mike Reid.

Looking ahead, Taylor is preparing for a new album, which is being produced by Narvel Blackstock of Starstruck Entertainment. Blackstock previously managed Reba McEntire. This upcoming album is also set to feature a duet with American country music singer and pianist Ronnie Milsap. Beyond his music, Taylor actively supports several philanthropic causes, including children’s literacy, animal welfare, and housing initiatives, extending his impact beyond the music industry.
