Ty Burrell

Ty Burrell is an Emmy Award-winning actor best known for his role as Phil Dunphy on the television series “Modern Family.” He has transitioned his career from theater and supporting film roles to lead comedic performances and voice acting. After gaining significant recognition for his portrayal of Phil Dunphy on the acclaimed ABC sitcom ‘Modern Family,’ Ty Burrell went on to earn two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and multiple Screen Actors Guild Awards for the role. Prior to this, Burrell made his Broadway debut in ‘Macbeth’ in 2000, followed by appearances in films such as ‘Black Hawk Down’ (2001) and ‘Dawn of the Dead’ (2004). His early television work included guest appearances on ‘Law & Order’ and starring roles in series like ‘Out of Practice’ (2005-2006) and ‘Back to You’ (2007-2008), as well as a film role in ‘The Incredible Hulk’ (2008).

His starring role as Phil Dunphy on ‘Modern Family,’ which premiered in 2009, brought him widespread critical acclaim, accumulating five Emmy nominations in total, with wins in 2011 and 2014. During this period, Burrell expanded his filmography significantly, notably entering the world of voice acting.
