Violett Beane commenced her acting career in 2015 with a recurring role in season 2 of the HBO series, The Leftovers, portraying Taylor Truitt. This immediate success was followed by her casting in The CW’s hit series The Flash as Jesse Wells, also known as Jesse Quick, where she appeared in 21 episodes between 2015 and 2018. During this formative period, Beane also expanded her filmography with roles in the independent horror film Flay, Slash, and the acclaimed documentary Tower (2016), in which she portrayed Claire Wilson, a survivor of the 1966 University of Texas at Austin shooting. Continuing her trajectory in television, Beane secured a recurring role in the Fox medical drama The Resident as Lily Kendall in 2018, appearing in 8 episodes.
She is also slated to appear as Jen in the film Drop, set for release the same year. Further diversifying her portfolio, Beane is cast as Sunny Stuber in three episodes of the Apple TV+ series The Morning Show (2025) and as Jamie in the film Renner (2025). Beyond acting, Beane has ventured behind the camera, directing and producing the short film Mouthpiece and the music video ‘Jasmin Savoy: Orange Wine,’ both released in 2022. A public advocate for veganism, she has supported this lifestyle through campaigns, including one with PETA, highlighting her commitment to social causes.
