Violett Beane is a young American actress currently best known for her role as Jesse Wells aka Jesse Quick in three seasons of The Flash on The CW. Horror fans will also recognise her as Markie Cameron from 2018’s box-office success, Truth or Dare. She has also appeared in shows such as The Leftovers and The Resident and recently co-starred as Cara Bloom in the CBS comedy-drama series, God Friended Me. She is massively popular on social media and has more than 440,000 followers on Instagram.
Although she was born in Florida, Beane considers Austin, Texas (the city she lived in from the age of ten) to be her hometown. It was in Austin that she first became involved in acting, appearing in drama productions and the like before getting an agent during her senior year of high school and embarking on a professional acting career.
In 2015, Beane’s career got off to a great start. Her first screen role was a recurring one: playing Taylor in five episodes of The Leftovers, acclaimed as one of the best TV series of its time, if not ever. That same year, she also began playing Jesse Wells/Quick in The CW’s DC Comics superhero series, The Flash. She made her big-screen debut the following year in a comedy film called Slash, but her first real success at the movies came when joined the main cast of Truth or Dare, which took over $95 million at the box office on a tiny $3.5 million budget. She is currently working on a new TV series called Career Opportunities in Murder and Mayhem.
