Wide Neck

Charles Dion McDowell, widely known as “Wide Neck,” first gained public attention in 2018 following a viral mugshot that showcased his distinctive neck. This image circulated extensively across the internet, leading to him adopting the moniker “Wide Neck” on social media platforms. Prior to this viral event, McDowell had been involved in legal situations, including arrests in Alabama on drug and speeding charges.

Capitalizing on his newfound internet fame, McDowell established a significant online presence, accumulating nearly 1 million followers on Instagram under his “Wide Neck” persona. He ventured into the music industry, releasing several rap songs. A notable collaboration occurred in 2020 when he partnered with rapper “Daddy Long Neck” on a track titled “Neckst Big Thing,” further solidifying his presence as an internet personality in the music sphere.

Throughout his public life, McDowell has faced ongoing legal challenges. Following his initial viral mugshot, he was subsequently arrested again in Florida on a stalking charge in November 2022. More recently, in early February 2025, McDowell was arrested in Cherokee County, Georgia, facing multiple felony charges. These charges include five counts of electronic transmission/post of video or photo of nudity without consent, four counts of electronically furnishing obscene materials to a minor, and harassing phone calls. He remains in custody without bond for these recent charges.
