Will Pan, born on August 6, 1980, in West Virginia, U.S., relocated to Taiwan at the age of seven. He pursued his education at Dominican International School and Taipei American School, graduating in 1999. Although offered an athletic scholarship for basketball, he chose to attend California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, before departing to embark on a career in show business. His early career included participating in singing competitions and hosting programs for Channel V. In 2001, Pan signed with BMG, marking the beginning of his professional journey in entertainment, where he debuted as a host for ‘V Style Society’ and acted in the Taiwanese drama ‘Great Teacher.’
Pan’s musical career officially launched in 2002 with his debut Mandarin solo album, ‘Gecko Stroll,’ which sold over 130,000 copies in Taiwan. He released subsequent albums such as ‘Pass Me The Mic’ (2003) and ‘Wu Ha’ (2004), the latter featuring a duet with Angela Zhang. His album ‘The Expert’ (2005) included the popular track ‘Cannot Not Love’ and marked the formation of his production team ‘Pan@sonic.’ In 2006, he released ‘Around the World,’ which faced a plagiarism controversy. Pan initiated his first headlining tour, ‘Will Pan Around The World Concert Tour,’ in 2006, concluding in 2008. His seventh album, ‘007’ (2009), featured a collaboration with Akon, and in 2011, he released ‘808.’
Beyond music, Pan has expanded into business, launching the streetwear boutique N.P.C (New Project Center) with Chinese host Nic Li in 2009, with locations in major Chinese cities and an online presence. In 2010, he established his streetwear brand, ‘Undisputed.’ He is also a co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Camigo Media, a software company that has developed mobile games accumulating over 20 million downloads. In 2011, Pan received the Best Actor award at the 46th Golden Bell Awards for his role in ‘Endless Love.’ His career continued with albums like ‘The Story of Billy’ (2012) and ‘Crown & Clown’ (2014), and continued touring with significant events such as the ‘Unleashed’ Concert Tour and the ‘Mad Love Concert Tour.’ He signed with Warner Music Taiwan in 2017 and released ‘illi’ that same year, followed by ‘Mr. R&Beats’ in 2020.
