Colin Quinn

Colin Quinn is a veteran stand-up comedian, actor, and writer, recognized for his extensive work in television and film, including roles on “Saturday Night Live” and his critically acclaimed one-man shows. After establishing his presence in the New York comedy scene through stand-up, Colin Quinn achieved an early breakthrough in 1987 as the sidekick announcer for MTV’s game show Remote Control, which aired for five successful seasons. His hosting capabilities were further showcased on A&E’s Caroline’s Comedy Hour in 1989. Quinn also expanded into film writing and production, co-writing and producing Celtic Pride in 1996, starring Damon Wayans and Dan Aykroyd.

In 2015, Quinn launched the L/Studio web series Cop Show and released his book, The Coloring Book: A Comedian Solves Race Relations in America. In 2020, he released his second book, Overstated: A Coast-to-Coast Roast of the 50 States, and directed the HBO Max special Colin Quinn & Friends: A Parking Lot Comedy Show. Demonstrating his enduring presence in comedy, Quinn released new stand-up specials Colin Quinn: Our Time Is Up and Stamps & Tea on YouTube in 2024, continuing to engage audiences with his incisive commentary. He also performed for troops on a USO tour in 2005.
