The Wolfe Brothers are amazing, award-winning Aussie country rockers formed of brothers Tom and Nick Wolfe, and childhood mates, Brodie Rainbird and Casey Kostiuk. They hail from Tasmania, and shot to fame in 2012 after they became runners-up on the reality TV show, Australia’s Got Talent.
Brothers Tom and Nick always had music in their blood and it was destiny that they should become music stars themselves. Their father was a rock drummer, their grandfather a saxophonist, and their great-grandfather a fiddle player, while their mother brought them up on a musical diet of 90’s Country staples. Their parents also went out of their way to encourage them to play, guiding Nick to guitar and Tom to the piano, and helped to facilitate their first shows in their early teens. They released their first, self-titled EP in 2010, and two years later were competing on national TV on the sixth season of Australia’s Got Talent. They released their debut studio album, It’s On, in 2013, and were nominated for four Country Music Awards of Australia, later winning the New Oz Artist of the Year 2014 at the Country Music Channel Awards. In 2014, their second album, Nothin’ But Trouble, spawned a No.1 single, That Kinda Night. After their third album, This Crazy Life, came out in 2016, they won the Planet Country’s Music for a New Generation Awards for the Australian Group/Duo of the Year in 2017. 2018 saw the release of their fourth album, Country Heart, which this time spawned two No.1 singles, Ain’t Seen It Yet, and Country Heart. 2019 proved to be just as rewarding, with the group winning the Contemporary Country Album of the Year, Group or Duo of the Year, as well as Song of the Year at the 2019 Country Music Awards of Australia. Their fifth album, Kids on Cassette, was released in 2021.
