Markella Kavenagh was born on January 30, 2000, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She began her acting career with various roles in Australian and international productions. Her early work in television included appearances in series such as “Picnic at Hanging Rock” (2018), where she played Myrtle, and “Romper Stomper” (2018), portraying Cindi across six episodes. The same year, she also featured as Chloe in the four-episode series “The Cry” (2018).
Kavenagh expanded her filmography with a role as Jane Cotter in “True History of the Kelly Gang” (2019). This was followed by her work in “My First Summer” (2020), where she took on the role of Claudia, and also appeared in the short film “Furlough” as Sara in the same year. She further contributed to television with eight episodes of “The Gloaming” (2020) as Daisy Hart. Her career trajectory marked a significant turn with her casting as Elanor “Nori” Brandyfoot in “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” (2022–2024), where she became an early cast member for the Amazon Prime Video series.
