Yanis Marshall was born on November 11, 1989, in Grasse, France. He developed a unique choreographic style that involves dancers of all genders performing in high-heeled shoes. This distinct approach to dance has been central to his career, establishing him as a prominent figure in the international dance community. His foundational training in classical ballet and jazz techniques underpins his innovative style, allowing him to push boundaries while maintaining technical precision.
Marshall gained widespread recognition in 2014 when he reached the finals of “Britain’s Got Talent” alongside two male backup dancers. This exposure propelled his career, leading to various international opportunities. He subsequently worked as a coach and choreographer on “Dancing with the Stars” and Ukraine’s version of “So You Think You Can Dance.” Further showcasing his choreographic prowess, Marshall was appointed as the choreographer for Cirque du Soleil’s Las Vegas “Zumanity” show, a significant milestone that highlighted his ability to adapt his unique style to large-scale theatrical productions.
